The new season of Fortnite has a lot for players to explore. When you’re looting, one of the most alluring items has to be the Fortnite Chapter 5 Mythics. These are souped-up weapons, one of a kind across the island (at least for the guns). There are also some really unique items for mobility in the Fortnite C5 Mythics.
If you want to win Fortnite games, having the Mythics is a serious advantage this season. These weapons are much more powerful versions of other guns. Including the best shotgun this season, with extra bullets per reload. Each of them is worth seeking out, not to mention the Medallions with special powers you get along with them.
The Fortnite Chapter 5 Mythic guns are concentrated in just a handful of POIs around the map. Although, the two other mythic items are a bit easier to find. This is where you can track down each of them.

The Assault Rifle introduced this season comes in a Mythic variety. This one is dropped by Ares. He’s located at Brawler’s Battleground. That’s the most out of the way of the new POIs, so it’s probably going to be the lightest on foot traffic. You’ll still have to take out the boss, but it’s ironic that the God of War’s Mythic is at one of the more peaceful new drop spots.
The Huntress DMR is a fun alternative to a sniper at the moment. Where can you find this gun? It’s dropped by Zeus. To get it you’ll need to take out the boss in his location at Mount Olympus. This will likely be one of the lesser-used mythics since the Sniper is still OP.
The SMGs in Chapter 5 Season 1 weren’t great. That’s been rectified with the new Harbringer SMG. It drops in a Mythic variety when you take down the Hades boss on the map. To find him, you need to go to the Underworld. He also drops the Siphon Medallion and a Hades Chain, so it’s likely worth making him part of your rotation just for that.

Another Mythic added in the latest Fortnite update is the Chains of Hades! These are available for taking down Hades. They’re also found in general loot in a powered-down form.

The final boss Mythic drops from the guard dog of hell, Cerberus. Take him out in Grim Gate to get his shotgun. This is the newest shotgun added in the latest Fortnite update and it packs quite a punch. This version has more bullets than a standard one, making it kind of superior to both the Auto and the pump!
Those are the weapons Mythics dropped by bosses. There are a handful more fleshing out our loot pool though. They’re pretty interesting and it’s worth picking these Fortnite C5 Mythics up.
This one is a lot easier. It’s contained in normal loot! You’ll have the easiest time finding it in the new POIs though. The new God Chests nearly always have one of these to offer. They’re fantastic for mobility.
The other non-boss mythic this season are the Thunderbolts. These are an attack where you launch up into the air before throwing out three volleys of lightning. They’re available in general loot too. Although, they’re much more likely to drop from God Chests. Strangely these weapons aren’t part of the Zeus mini-boss’ loot exclusively.

The next new Mythic for Fortnite Chapter 5 is Waterbending. This is to celebrate the Fortnite Avatar crossover. It’s the first Avatar Mythic, but more are coming in the next few months.
You can find the Waterbending Mythic in general loot! It isn’t in any specific places, you’ve just to got through the normal loot pool. This isn’t the best of the Fortnite Chapter 5 Mythics this season. It’s kind of underpowered, so not too annoying that it’s RNG.
This season the Fortnite C5 Mythics are a bit more restrained. At launch, they’re just slightly powerful versions of the base loot. While they do have a stat advantage, their mods often aren’t quite on point. This could mean players with a decent rarity gun end up with a better version by choosing better mods. It’s a nice way to do the mythics, and most don’t come out feeling too overpowered. Aside from the new Shotgun that is!

Are the Fortnite Chapter 5 Mythics going to be in tournaments? So far, the general weapon Mythics are included in the loot pool for Fortnite esports. However, if there’s a new mythic for the upcoming avatar crossover that won’t be.
These one-of-a-kind weapons will likely be active in all of the upcoming tournaments. However, they have removed cars and clingers from tournament builds. If these (or the medallions) turn out to be too powerful, Epic might remove them from tournaments in the future.
